Regular at Fontana donut shop purchases winning ticket for SuperLotto Plus for $20 million
A local Fontana shop, Miss Donuts & Bagel sold the winning ticket for SuperLotto plus for $20 million. The owner of the shop, Ling Goun stated that the lucky winner is a regular.
Each morning, ravenous regulars leave Miss Donuts & Bagel, Fontana with breakfast. The other day, a known face left carrying a Lottery ticket valued at $20 million.
On Saturday, according to a California Lottery report, Miss Donuts & Bagel, a shop near Sierra Avenue that has been in operation for four years, sold the winning SuperLotto Plus jackpot ticket.
On Monday, Ling Goun, the owner remarked that the person who bought the ticket is someone he knows. However, he refused to disclose who the latest multimillionaire is.
But, Goun admitted expressed his joy for his frequent client as well as for his store. He anticipates that he will experience a boom in business because of the news.
In 2016, Miss Donuts & Bagel traded winning Lottery tickets of $255,169, according to a window emblem in the shop. It is going to be difficult to surpass Saturday’s prize.
10, 29, 41,45, 46 were the winning numbers; the Mega digit was 10. The winning odds of the jackpot for SuperLotto Plus are around one in forty-two million.
Following the declaration of the numbers on Saturday, the shop was informed that it had sold the valuable ticket, remarked Goun; at that time, he was at home.
A worker contacted Goun and disclosed the news. In 24 hours, the officials of California Lottery had displayed a banner and various signage near the store.
The advertisement material reads, ‘Millionaire created here; will you be the next one?’ Eighty-six year old Gene Ripley visits Miss Donuts & Bagel even thrice a week. It is unusual for him to go back without trying to get lucky with a Lottery ticket or a scratch card.
On Monday, Ripley sat in the store and scratched; a ticket for the evening Lottery drawing was next to him.
In his initial go-round, the resident from Bloomington won fifty dollars, which is meager in contrast to the numerous winners of $1,000 he has bought at Miss Donuts & Bagel through the years.
From when the announcement took place on Saturday, interest in purchasing Lottery tickets from Goun’s shop has not increased much. But, Goun says he hopes ‘it will raise more’ from now on.
